N. Kapustin Piano Sonata No. 8 op. 77
Michael Nanasakov

  • english description

It is not surprising that those raised on classical piano lessons would find the piano sonata, with its jazzy atmosphere, fresh and appealing. Rhythm and harmony have been constantly renewed since before Mozart's time. Classical pianists must want to play sonata form pieces that exude a fashionable feel, if they were available in printed sheet music. Even if all of the improvisational melodies were performed after careful consideration, one can feel the desire for freedom in them.
